emily is....
.... on facebook. Maureen had been encouraging me to join for a long time but I resisted. I thought I was too old for these social networking websites. Then I ran into a long lost high school friend at Target over the summer. It was so fun to see her, when I got home, I thought to myself, "I'm going to join facebook to see if she's on there!" Well, she wasn't. However, I did find other people from high school, some girls I went camping with in junior high school, someone I played kickball with as a kid, an old co-worker, far flung friends and all of my cousins, even a few aunts and uncles. Then we recruited the rest of the bookclub girls to join facebook and we created a group. Now that friend that I saw at Target over the summer joined facebook so I feel nearly complete as far as friends go. Facebook is addictive. It's like eating potato chips. I love the pictures, and status updates, I love writing on my sister's wall. But, I have been neglecting my blog. Actually, the Drama Queen post inspired my return to my blog. When I got Sharra Frank's e-newsletter, my first impulse was to post Drama Queen on my facebook page. This brought me pause, because before facebook, this was the kind of thing I would put on my blog. So, here I am coming clean. I think I am addicted to facebook.
